Brazilian starlet Kaka is set to extend his Rossoneri contract until 2010 after becoming a favourite for sponsors including Armani.
The former Sao Paolo man has had a sensational debut season in Serie A, proving pivotal to their Scudetto success.
He is already tied to the club until 2008, but the club is ready to offer a new deal to ensure he becomes one of Milan’s most representative players.
The youngster is proving to be a goldmine, with sponsors lining up to create his own line of clothing and merchandise based on Ayrton Senna’s ‘S’ symbol.
“Kaka represents the image of a person who is loyal, fair, talented and winning,” explained his managers at Brasil 100% marketing.
The latest advancement in raising his profile is a deal with Armani Jeans, who have now signed up the creative midfielder as their official testimonial.
“Kaka is a player who ideally captures my idea of a champion,” explained fashion guru Armani, “both for his physical characteristics and his personality.”
“We have received mountains of proposals from sponsors,” added representative Alexander Leitao, “and all of them will be evaluated carefully. We are defining what kind of product is right to associate with Kaka and in July there will be new developments.”
The 22-year-old has already penned a new deal with Adidas, extending his contract until 2010.
“The sale of Milan shirts has doubled since Kaka joined the club,” revealed the manufacturers, “and we are now at the same level as the Real Madrid jersey.”
