Linda,
You'll need to re-convert your TrueType font with Fontlab. In Fontlab
(this is version 4.5), there should be under Tools->Options->TrueType,
an option that says "Scale the font to 1000 UPM". Be sure this is
checked, then convert your font again and to Type1, then use Type
Transformer.

Subject: Re: _[afp-l] AFP Type Transformer question
Were the Type1 fonts originally converted from TrueType using Fontlab?

I am trying to the AFP Type transformer to create AFP Outline fonts
from
Type 1 fonts for a PDF to AFP transform I am working on.
The fonts I am getting have large spaces between the characters
when I
try to print with them.
Does anyone with Type Transformer experience have any suggestions of
adjustments I should make so that the character cell width in the AFP
fonts will match the spacing in the original Type 1 fonts?
Thanks!
