ANNOUNCING CALL FOR ART: Iranian and Iranian Diaspora Art
Iranian Alliances Across Borders*Art is accepting submissions from
Iranian and Iranian diaspora artists for its upcoming exhibition,
which will open in 2007/2008. IAAB*Art is especially interested in
works that explore any of the following issues:
• Identity• Tradition• Stereotypes• Society
Eligibility:
*This exhibition is open to any artists of Iranian cultural heritage.
*Artists must be 18 years or older.
*Works of all media are welcome.
Application Guidelines:
*Submissions must include the following:
• CV (curriculum vitae clearly stating country of residence)
• Artist's Statement (not exceeding 500 words) describing individual
works, overall body of work, and biographical information.
• Up to six images of work in any format (e.g. slides, photographs,
prints) and/or up to three examples of your audio or time-based work
on CD, VHS, or DVD. Submissions including more than six images will
not be considered. Please label each image with artist's name and
slide number, and please do not send original work.
• Completed application form which can be downloaded from our website
(http://www.iranianalliances.com/art). Submissions lacking this
application form will not be considered.
*Reviews and press clips are optional but not required.
*Please note that materials submitted as application will not be returned.

Established in 2003, Iranian Alliances Across Borders (IAAB), is a
non-partisan, non-profit organization that addresses issues of the
Iranian diaspora by facilitating community building, developing ways
to better understand what it means to be part of a diaspora, and
helping members of the Iranian diaspora community enhance connections
with their new communities as well as maintain connections with their
root community.
