Note to all Asp4Hs mailing list subscribers:
Shannon Halgren, a usability engineer at Macromedia (which
recently merged with Allaire) has asked permission to send this
note out over our list. She is looking for ASP developers in the
San Francisco Bay area that she can observe. This is in the
interest of improving Ultradev/HomeSite/ColdFusion Studio, so
please consider it if you are in the San Francisco Bay area.
I know this isn't in the normal use of the asp4hs announcements
list, but it seemed a good cause.

Hello Web Developers!
I'm a usability engineer with Macromedia. I'm currently looking
for professional web developers located in the greater San
Francisco Bay area who would like to participate in a usability
project we're conducting next week, March 5 - 9. The goal of our
project is to observe how real live users are creating web
applications involving database components.
Participation in our project would involve two UltraDev team
members visiting your work place for a two hour session. The
session will begin with a brief background interview. After the
interview we would like to watch you work. It would be our hope
that we watch you perform a couple of different, typical tasks
that are common for your work rather than a single atypical task.
In particular, we're interested in watching you develop or
maintain your web application or web site using Homesite, J Run
Studio, Visual InterDev, Visual Studio, or Cold Fusion Studio.
After the work observation portion of the session, we will ask
you a few questions about what we saw and ask for any comments or
suggestions you have for improving your development experience.
In exchange for your time and effort we will bring you a free
Macromedia product. You may choose between Dreamweaver 4,
UltraDev 4, Fireworks 4, Flash 5, or FreeHand 9.

- Consider themselves web application builders experienced in
both database environments and HTML
- Are at an intermediate to advanced level when using their
primary language and development environment
- Consider their primary environment to be an Allaire environment
(JRun Studio or Homesite), a Microsoft environment (Visual
InterDev, or Visual Studio), or use Cold Fusion Studio
- Consider ASP, JSP or Cold Fusion their primary server model
/coding environment
- UltraDev experience is not necessary
