Stuart,

I will try to get the correction from Liliana
and make the needed change.

I don't understand how these can be the "final" minutes?

Why is there a line in here that says: "(sorry my notes are incomplete.)"?? Liliana, can you supply the missing information from this section of the notes?

Are board members reading these minutes for completeness?

Directors,
Below is the final corrected/ammended draft of the
March 25, 2007 minutes.

                                    ATHEISTS UNITED
                          Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
                                        March 25, 2007
4773 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles 90027

Present: Marge Farber and Stuart Bechman, Co-Presidents;
Henry Farber, Coresponding Secretary; Mark Rockoff,
Ingomar Hulthage, Liliana Dishman, Ken Bonnell, Rodney
Schaerer, Directors. Members: Mike Lindley. Visitors
Alison, Luz, Neil Polzin.
Absent: Norman Abshear, Treasurer;
Bobbie Kirkhart Director.
Due to the resignation of Recording Secrertary Jon Nelson
Mark Rockoff was appointed to record and prepare the meeting's
minutes.
Neil Polzin report: He has resigned his position on the Secular
Student Alliance Board and assumed Ryan Langley's job as
the paid campus organizer Atheist United is funding. He is looking
for feedback on ways to work more closely with Atheists United.
One area he mentioned was a speakers bureau.
Food not Bombs report: Alison and Luz from Food not Bombs
gave Stuart a written report detailing how their group spends
funds. They are asking Atheists United to continue funding the
group's distribution of food to the homeless and sometimes at
progressive political events.
Henry Farber moved to support them with $200 per month.
Motion seconded. After some discussion Ken made an
amendment to the motion stating that we continue to fund them
for the next 3 months with $150 per month and at the end of that
time they report on how they support/publicize Atheists United.
Amendment accepted by Henry Farber and passed: 4 yes, 3 no
1 abstain.
The blood drive was discussed. We need at least 30 donors
to make this a success. Event information be in the newsletter and
there will be press releases. All of LAFF is invited. We will also ask
for toys for the Julia Hernandez toy drive for Children's Hospital.
Ingemar reports he has prepared the Blasphemy Bingo cards
and is ready for today's event.
Liliana reports she has heard from someone..... ( sorry my notes
are incomplete.)
Stuart moved to make Ingemar Hulthage Atheists United's
liaison to the Atheists Alliance International. Motion seconded and
passed unanimously.
Stuart reported that Norman Abshear sent out a Treasury
Report via e-mail late last night.
Members concerns: Mike Lindley wants Atheists United
to be involved at Veterans for Peace events. He asked why we
have not done anything in the last month. Stuart explained that
we had decided to set up an outreach table at some of their
local events but were waiting to be told when and where they
would be.
      Meeting Adjourned: 11:10
