Avialantic Updates -

Farewell... Pete Malashevitz
============================

Of all the passings that I have announced, by far the saddest to me
personally is the passing of my

friend, Pete Malashevitz, from a massive heart attack. Many of you knew
him as the frantically zooming

coordinator of the Mid Atlantic Air Museum's World War II Weekend, or
the voice on the Museum phone, or

in one of his numerous other roles preserving and advancing the
knowledge of not only aviation history

but of Americana.

For nearly 20 years I've worked with the mercurial Pete, proud to aid
and abet his efforts on behalf of

MAAM. His star burned out far too soon, but it burned exceedingly
bright.

When I have more information I will of course, share it with you.
