Subject: [SFBike] Bridge Biking Resolutions
Hey all-
I am pleased to announce that two bridge-related
resolutions are being introduced today at the San
Francisco board of supervisors meeting. Tom Ammiano
is introducing a resolution calling on the MTC and
State Legislature to include the Bay Bridge west span
pathway in any toll increase expenditure plan
(co-sponsored by daly, dufty, mirkarimi, and
alioto-pier), and Ross Mirakarimi is introducing a
resolution opposing bike/ ped tolls on the GG Bridge.
We are planning to put out a press release tomorrow
about how the bay area needs a continuous bay trail
that is free and open to the walking, running,
skating, and cycling public.
Your support is appreciated, through sending letters
to the editor in response to any news articles and
communicating with your supervisor to support these
resos.
In the meantime- to room 400 of city hall (at 4pm) to
support potrero traffic calming/ bike lanes and to
call for saving the caltrain 4th and king bikestation
at the municipal transportation agency meeting!
