Notes from Dietta…
In the life of a busy woman a month can seem like a year! With the
flurry of activities in our lives we can feel like we’ve traveled a
great distance in a short amount of time. For me February can be
divided into three parts: it started with a bang, moved across some
rough and rocky spots, then ended with an encouraging finish.
It was definitely a lot different than January—so much so I wondered
what had happened. :-) I look forward to this month because its one
step closer to spring. When I think of March I immediately see pictures
of yellow tulips and white Easter lilies. Spring is another one of my
favorite times of the year.
This month’s issue is packed with lots of helpful and hopefully fun
information. Please be sure to visit the new links included. I have
added several new articles to the Balance Boosters website, as well as a
review of a totally awesome book I read a few days ago. You won’t want
to skip this section!
I have joined alliances with a wonderful company called My Precious
Kid. This is a Christian owned company that provides products to help
you protect your children. The owner is an awesome woman I have “met”
recently. She is the moderator of a Christian Work at Home Mom group
that I am a member of. I absolutely love this group and have enjoyed
the wisdom and knowledge Kay brings to the group, if you have young
children or small grandchildren please check out this link.

My Precious Kid - Protect your child! In an emergency there may not be
time to wait for information. An identification card with medical and
contact information attached to a car seat or backpack may be the
difference between life and death! See our new "do it yourself" ID
card/fingerprint kits and medical release cards. Is your child
protected?

5 Ways to Laugh More
By: Dietta L. Stewart

How long has it been since you had a good laugh?
That long, huh?
When our lives are very busy it is easy to forget that laughter is
important. But, regardless of our crazy schedules we shouldn’t let our
busyness steal the gift of laughter. Laughter is therapeutic and may
even assist in physical healing. I have heard of instances where people
who were diagnosed with a serious illness used laughter as a successful
part of their treatment.
Aside from being credited to the promotion of healing in our bodies,
laughter can also bring healing to our souls. If you have to struggle
to remember the last time you had a good old-fashioned belly laugh do
yourself a favor and start laughing now. Here are five ways to put more
laughter into your life:
1. Get together with some friends who enjoy having fun. When we live a
busy life we are tempted to let go of having a good time with our
friends. But, this is just as important as most other things on our
lists of things to do.
2. Watch a funny movie. When renting movies for my husband and I to
watch I usually can’t miss when I choose a comedy.
3. Buy a joke book and read it with your family. My kids love joke
books. Sometimes even the goofiest jokes can be good for a big laugh.
4. Watch your favorite rerun sitcoms. Even if you have seen them a
thousand times these can still be funny.
5. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Learn how to laugh at yourself
and find humor in all types of situations.
