Masters degree in Industrial Relations from the University of
Illinois and 25+ years of HR and recruiting experience. Nine (9) years
of contract recruiting experience in Silicon Valley and the Bay Area.
Some agency experience.
Experienced in recruiting for a wide variety of sales,
marketing, engineering and management personnel.
Some of the functional areas for which Ive recruited include:
software development and applications, including Internet and
e-commerce, computer hardware, including ASIC and board-level design;
wireless communications; product marketing, field sales/applications and
a variety of manufacturing and administrative disciplines.
Skilled in using a multi-faceted approach to recruiting and
tapping into multiple sources for people: Internet, advertising,
employee referral systems, job fairs, agencies, sourcing/networking and
search/research.
Proficient at managing the total recruiting process including
candidate identification, resume review, candidate scheduling,
interviewing, reference checking, preparing and making offers.
Client companies have ranged in size from pre-IPO start-ups to
large organizations. Clients include: Nortel, Philips Consumer
Communications, AdiCom Wireless, Lam Research, ESS Technology, First
Pacific Networks, Asante Technologies, Micron Electronics/NetFRAME
Server Group, Micro Focus, MERANT, Maoi Technologies, Interval Logic,
E-Stamp, Innovision and others.
Previous HR background includes senior management positions in
industry as VPHR at Cypress Semiconductors and Director of HR for
Intercontinental Operations at Hewlett-Packard. These organizations
ranged in size from 2,000 - 5,000 employees. Also served as
VPHR/Director of HR for smaller companies, i.e., 200 - 450 employees and
headed corporate recruiting and compensation for Hewlett-Packard.
