Well, the rule changes have to be approved by the BART board. Going
to them with any change might open the door for other changes. So
for something so minor the BBATF doesn't think it is worth the risk.
Also the cost of reprinting all the car cards, rule cards and All
About BART brochures in this time of funding shortages won't be and
easy sell.
I think the BART bike page will be updated to mention folded bicycles
are allowed on escalators.
One thing not addressed is if folded bicycles are luggage in the
first car. Logic and common sense would say yes. I will ask for
clarification.

That's good to know. A while back, the Fremont agent went ballistic
when I brought my folded bike down the escalator.
When will the published bike rules be updated to include this rule?
