Tim Llewellyn was the BBC's Middle East Correspondent for more than 15 years. He has covered the major stories and developments in the region between 1974 and 2002, and is still a writer, broadcaster and commentator on Middle East issues. He was the first reporter to get news to the West of the Sabra-Shatila massacre of Palestinians and Lebanese in Beirut in 1982; he reported on the Iran-Iraq war, from both sides, the First Gulf War, from Baghdad and Amman, and the continuing saga of the Palestinians' seek for justice since 1948. He now writes books and lives in London. Tim is an executive board member of the Arab-British Centre and the Council for the Advancement of Arab-British Understanding.
