 I'm looking for something black, flexible, strong, clean-looking, and
appropriate for 1 amp of current.

      speaker wire can easily meet the above parameters. be aware of the
construction, i.e., the number of strands. more strands means it's more
flexible. FWIW, sometimes i think it can be too flexible, flops about &
catch on stuff.
      consider /zip cord/, the robust generic 18-g 120-V AC line cord.
