Pet Food Recall (2007) Settlement

| | | | I just came across a notice for the settlement of the class action
|

suit against the
companies that made and distributed the poisoned pet food last year.
If you had a pet or
pets that had to have any veterinary treatment, even just a check-up,
because they ate the
recalled foods, you can submit vet expenses to be reimbursed by this
settlement. If you
had a pet that died because of the recalled food, they will also
reimburse "death-related"
expenses, like necropsy and cremation or burial, plus "fair market
value" for that pet.
Even if you can't provide receipts, you can still be reimbursed up to
$900.00 for eligible
expenses. However, best that I can tell, if you fed your pets the
recalled food, and they
didn't get sick, there is no provision for that.<<
At any rate, I just wanted to put the word out there, for anyone who
might not have seen
this already.
