| Purpose: |
The boss-improv mailing list is an online discussion of Boston-area improvised music and progressive jazz. Participants in boss-improv converse about area musicians such as Jim Hobbs and the Fully Celebrated Orchestra, the Charlie Kohlhase Quintet, nmperign, and other individual artists and bands, as well as spread the word about improvised music shows and events in and around Boston. Occasionally, recordings featuring Boston area musicians might be highlighted, but boss improv is also intended to serve as a networking tool for people interested in furthering Boston's live jazz and improvised music scene.
