Dear friends of Bow Triplets,
Thank you for your support. By buying so many of the new CDs you
have significantly contributed to helping us pay for the high
production cost. Sorry it took so long for some of you to receive
the CD in the mail. Obviously the post had some problems in January.
We are happy to say, that 2003 is going to be our best year for
concert bookings. Already in February we checked the diary and
realized that Bow Triplets only have 4 free dates left for the whole
of 2003. We have concerts ranging from the Heidi and Stef Duo,
right up to the full Bow Triplets crew with six musicians, the majority
of all concerts being the trio Heidi, Stef and Andreas.
We notice that we are booked for more private concerts this year
than ever before ranging from political election events to birthdays
and weddings. At the same time we must say that we stick with our
philosophy of only doing private concerts that we feel "fit in" with our
concept and our music. It is interesting to see that all private
bookings
come from people that specifically want Irish-Celtic music and that
know Bow Triplets' sound, either from concerts or recordings.
Again this year we're playing school concerts in the vicinity of
Zuerich.

1. "One Spot on Earth" the new CD. Encouraging start!
We are delighted with the positive response we are getting from our
new album. Reviewers, FM and cable radio stations have sent us email
requests to get the CD and we have already received quite a bit of
airplay in different countries.
Radio EVIVA (Switzerland) introduced our album as "CD of The Day"

2. Sir Toby Timothy, a dog stunned the audience in Glattfelden.
His short name is just "Tim" and he adores the concertina.
Whenever he's allowed to sing, he does. He's a white labrador and
wherever he is, when Stef plays the concertina he positions himself
right next to him and waits for Stef to say "ok. Tim, sing". If he gets
the "ok" he produces the most delightful sounds to the notes of
the concertina and he even has his favourite melodies.
During the concert at the Cultural Centre in Glattfelden last month, he
was
allowed to sing on stage and the audience could hardly believe what they
saw and heard. We asked ourselves afterwards whether we, as musicians,
had ever received such standing ovations from an audience.
On request from our friends and fans maybe we will let him sing again
at times providing he does not get ALL the attention.
Those of you who already have the new CD have the possibility to hear
Tim sing too. Providing you are able to detect the hidden track
featuring his canine vocal talents.

3. Concerts in Sweden in April.
We are off to Sweden the week before Easter to play three concerts
in Blekinge,a south east county of Sweden. The venues are in Lister,
Soelvesborg and Bromoella, all beautiful places and we're really looking
forward to playing there. Thank you to the luthier Peter Bengtsson
who organized these gigs for us.

4. Big Celtic feast in May, to celebrate the new CD.
Here's an evening for all our friends who live in Switzerland or nearby.
The actual christening of "One Spot on Earth". All 6 of Bow Triplets
musicians will be on stage, playing the content of the CD plus other
favourites live.
Heidi: fiddle, viola, guitar, vox
Stef: guitars, fiddle, mandolin, concertina, vox
Andreas: percussion, bodhran, guitar, bells, vox
Inga-Lisa: concert harp
Heidinha: cello
Joe: double bass
Ofcourse we must allow Sir Toby Timothy to sing on such an important
event.
The venue is Schwertsaal in 8477, Oberstammheim, ZH.
It's a hall with magnificent acoustic properties that takes 300 people
and the last time we played at a big event there it was sold out two
weeks ahead. Please be early with your reservations.
Delicious Celtic food and drinks will be served and there will be
surprices
too!! Among other prices, two return flights Zuerich – Galway can be
won
with the entry tickets, donated by Thomas Bolliger of RMR in Neuhausen,
the Irish travel specialiist.

5. Bow Triplets on mp3.com and Besonic.com
mp3.com has now discontinued its payback for playback programme.
This means that we no longer get paid for downloads and listens on our
mp3 page in the USA http://www.mp3.com/bowtriplets
However, we have decided to remain represented there and even to pay
the monthly fee required for so called "platinum artists" in order to be
able to display more than just 3 tracks which is the limit for the free
streaming service.
As we sell mp3 CDs world wide from there, our costs
are covered and we have the advertising effect world wide.
Presently we have tracks in the top 40 charts in the genres Celtic,
Folk, Bluegrass and Canadian (#1 Quebecois).
Recently we became members of besonic.com to make our music
more directly availabler to the German listeners.

Liebe Bow Triplets Freunde
Herzliche Dank fuer Eure Untersztuetzung. Weil schon so viele von
Euch die neue CD gekauft haben sind unsere hohen Produktionskosten
schon fast gedeckt. Es tut uns leid, dass einige Leute lange auf die
CD warten mussten. Offenbar hatte die Post einige Probleme im
Januar.
Wir freuen uns Euch zu sagen, dass 2003 unser bestes Konzertjahr
bis anhin sein wird. Schon im Februar hatten wir in unseren
Agendas hereingeschaut und gesehen, dass nur noch 4 freie Daten
zum Buchen übrig sind für das ganze Jahr.
Wir haben Konzerte mit allen Varianten im Programm dieses Jahr,
von dem Duo "Heidi und Stef" bis hin zum vollen Besetzung
mit 6 Musikern und Musikerinnen. Der Hauptteil der Konzerte
bleibt aber nach wie vor das Trio mit Heidi, Stef und Andreas.
Interessanterweise spielen wir in diesem Jahr mehr "private"
Konzerte als je zuvor, von politischen Wahlveranstaltungen bis hin zu
Geburtstagen und Hochzeiten. Dies obwohl wir an unseren Grundsaetzen
festhalten, nur dort zu spielen, wo unsere Musik auch wirklich "passt".
Die privaten Buchungen stammen von Leuten, die sich speziell
irisch-keltische Musik wuenschen und die den sound von
Bow Triplets kennen, entweder von Konzerte oder Aufnahmen.
Auch in diesem Jahr spielen wir Schulhaus-Konzerte in der Umgebung
von Zuerich.

1. "One Spot on Earth" Die neue CD. Ermutigender Anfang!
Wir sind gluecklich ueber die durchwegs positiven Reaktionen, die
wir auf unsere neue CD bekommen. Musikkritiker, FM und Kabel
Radiostationen haben uns kontaktiert, und wir haben schon ziemliche
viele Radiospielungen in verschiedenen Laendern gehabt.
Radio EVIVA (CH) hat "One Spot on Earth" neulich als "CD des Tages"
vorgestellt.

2. Sir Toby Timothy begeisterte das Publikum in Glattfelden.
Wir nennen ihn einfach "Tim" und er liebt die Concertina.
Wenn immer er singen darf tut er es mit Elan. Er ist ein weisser
Labrador und ganz egal wo er sich befindet, wenn Stef die Concertina
anspielt, ist er zur Stelle neben ihm und wartet auf das "ok, sing".
Wenn das "ok" kommt, produziert er die tollsten Toene zu den Klaengen
der Concertina und er hat sogar seine "Lieblingsmelodien"J.
Waehrend eines Konzertes in Glattfelden neulich durfte er auf der
Buehne singen und das staunende Publikum konnten fast nicht glauben,
was sie hoerten und sahen. Nachher fragten wir uns, ob wir Musiker
je so einen "stehenden Applaus" geerntet hatten.
Auf Nachfrage von Freunden und Fans wird Tim vielleicht wieder auf der
Buehne singen, vorausgesetzt er kriegt nicht die GANZE
Aufmerksamkeit.
Diejenigen von Euch, die schon die neue CD haben, kennen vielleicht
schon Tim's Xangstalente. Vorausgesetzt, dass Ihr es geschafft habt die
versteckte Tonspur zu finden.

3. Konzerte in Schweden im April.
Wir fahren in der Woche vor Ostern nach Schweden, um drei Konzerte
in Blekinge zu spielen. Blekinge ist ein Gebiet im Suedosten von
Schweden. Die Orte sind im Lister, Soelvesborg und Bromoella,
alle sehr schoene Orte und wir freuen uns sehr darauf, dort zu spielen.
Wir danken den Instrumentenbauer Peter Bengtsson, der diese
Konzerte fuer uns organisierte.

4. Grosses keltisches Fest im Mai, die CD - Taufe.
Hier ein Abend fuer alle unsere Freunde aus der Schweiz oder der
Grenznaehe. Die richtige CD-Taufe fuer "One Spot on Earth".
Ein ganzes Jahr harte Arbeit soll gefeiert werden!
Alle 6 Musikerinnen und Musiker der Bow Triplets "Familie" werden
auf der Buehne sein und die Stuecke auf der CD plus weitere
Lieblingsstuecke "live und direkt" spielen, selbstverstaendlich
wie immer ganz ohne playback.

Stef: Gitarre, Geige, Mandoline, Concertina, Gesang
Andreas: Perkussion, Bodhran, Gitarre, Glockenspiel, Gesang

mit dabei sein.

eingestellt. Dies bedeutet, dass wir nicht mehr fuer das Hoeren und
Herunterladen unserer Musik bezahlt werden auf unserer mp3.com Seite

Trotzdem haben wir entschieden, dass wir unsere Musik dort weiterhin
erhaeltlich machen werden, da es eine sehr gute Werbeplattform die
