Dear friends of Bow Triplets,
Summ summ summertime!
Bow Triplets are playing one more private concert tomorrow and then on
Sunday we're off to our cottage on the south east coast of Sweden.
It's been a long and eventful year for us and for our musicJ
(We seem to count the years from one summer to the next).
Our latest CD was released, Andreas got his new Martin guitar, we had
two
concert trips abroad and we played more concerts this past year in
Switzerland than ever before. As a matter of fact, the Bow Triplets
have been booked out until the end of 2003 since April.
No wonder we all feel as if we've just about deserved a break nowJ
We shall be thinking of all our friends when we sit on our veranda
in Sweden, watching the sun set, making sure that the passing sea gulls
don't drop anything in our evening whiskey glass.

1. Past Release Party. "One Spot on Earth". Pictures.
Our release party on the 31. May was a smashing success with close
to 300 people in the audience. And what an audience it was!!!
Quiet as anything during the ballads and clapping and toestepping
during the jigs and reels. We sold a great number of CDs and have
since then received many letters, postcards and emails with appreciative
feedback on "One Spot on Earth".
Thank you to all our friends who supported us by being there and for
those
who couldn't make it……the pictures are available to watch online under:

The full Bow Triplets crew loved playing and singing that very special
night:
Heidi: fiddle, viola, guitar, vox
Stef: guitars, fiddle, mandolin, concertina, vox
Andreas: percussion, bodhran, guitar, bells, vox
Inga-Lisa: concert harp
Heidinha: cello
Joe: double bass
Our 7 year old daughter Asa, joined us on stage with her fiddle,
playing "Gladan" by Benny Andersson. We hope to see her play with
us many more times.
Tim (or Sir Toby Timothy), the singing white labrador, did a fine job on
stage as well. He howled away to Stef's accompanying concertina notes
although he did not hit all his notes this time due to the warm weather

2. Next Bow Triplets public concert in Gerlafingen (August).
Heidi and Stef start playing again already on 16. August but
Bow Triplets' next concert is on Friday 22. August at 20.15
in the Culture Club of Gerlafingen (Solothurn, Switzerland)

6. Highland Games in Switzerland!!
The first Swiss Competition in Highland Games is taking place on
23 August 2003 in St. Ursen, in the Canton of Fribourg. Besides the
traditional disciplines 'tossing the caber', 'throwing the weight over
the bar' and 'putting the stone' they offer a very attractive overall
program for everybody.

Liebe Bow Triplets Freunde
AAAhhhh, Sommerferien!
Bow Triplets spielen morgen noch ein privates Konzert und am Sonntag
verreisen wir dann endlich zu unserem Sommerhäuschen an der
schwedischen Suedostkueste. Es war ein langes und erreignisreiches
Jahr fuer uns und fuer unsere MusikJ
(Wir tendieren dazu, die Jahre von einem Sommer bis zum nächsten
zu zählen).
Unsere neue CD wurde fertig, Andreas bekam seine neue Martin Gitarre,
wir hatten zwei Konzertreisen ins Ausland und spielten mehr
Konzerte in der Schweiz im vergangenen Jahr als je zuvor.
Tatsaechlich sind die Bow Triplets seit April bis zum Ende 2003
ausgebucht.
Kein Wunder , dass wir jetzt ferienreif sindJ.
Wir werden an unsere Freunde denken, wenn wir auf unserer
schwedischen Terasse sitzen, die untergehende Sonne betrachten
und dabei aufpassen, dass die ueberfliegenden Seemoeven nichts in
unser abendliches Whiskeyglas fallen lassen.

Viel Vergnuegen dabei und schoene Sommerferien! Unseren Freunden
in Australien und Neuseeland wuenschen wir einen tollen Winter.

1. Rückblick Plattentaufe "One Spot on Earth", Bilder.
Die Plattentaufe vom 31. Mai war ein grosser Erfolg. Es waren fast
300 Leute im Publikum. Und was fuer ein Publikum!!! Andaechtig still
waehrend den Balladen und haendeklatschend und fuesseklopfend
waehrend den Jigs und Reels. Wir verkauften viele CDs und haben
viele Briefe, Postkarten und emails nachher bekommen mit tollen
Kommentaren zu "One Spot on Earth".
Danke an alle Freunde, die da waren, um uns zu unterstuetzen. Fuer
diejenigen, die verhindert waren.......die Bilder koennen auf unserer

Die ganze Bow Triplets Besetzung liebte das Spielen und Singen
ganz besonders an diesem speziellen Abend:

Andreas: Perkussion, Bodhran, Gitarre, Glockenspiel, Gesang
Inga-Lisa: Konzertharfe

Unsere 7-jaehrige Tochter Asa leistete uns mit ihrer kleinen Geige
Gesellschaft auf der Buehne und spielte "Gladan" von Benny Andersson.
Wir hoffen, dass wir in Zukunft mehr mit ihr spielen koennen.
Tim (oder Sir Toby Timothy), der singende weisse Labrador, verrichtete
seine Arbeit auf der Buehne gut. Er heulte mitreissend zu Stef's
Concertinaklaengen, obwohl er wegen dem warmen Wetter nicht alle
Toene genau traf J

2. Nächstes Bow Triplets Konzert in Gerlafingen (August)
Heidi und Stef fangen schon am 16. August wieder an zu spielen
aber Bow Triplets naechstes Konzert ist am Freitag 22. August
um 20.15 Uhr im Kulturkeller Gerlafingen (Solothurn).
