Dear all,
I am very pleased to announce that the Convenor for the
2009/2010 England leg of the ESU John Smith Memorial Mace will be Samir
Deger-Sen (winner of WUDC 2008 and CA of the Oxford
IV 2008, amongst other things).
A big thank you to all that applied for the position – you
made the decision very challenging for the committee.
A few other reminders about the competition:
Dates: 27th-28th
NovemberVenue: Dartmouth House, 37 Charles
Street, W1J 5ED, London (nearest tube station: Green Park)
Registration: Registration will open this
Thursday (16 October). To register please download the form from the website by
clicking here, and email it to Jason at jason-@esu.org.
Registration is open to all institutions in England. At the moment there is a
cap of 3 teams per institution, but do let us know if you would like to
register more teams. Preference will be given to the first teams from any
institution and additional teams will be allocated on a first come first serve
basis based on availability after that.
Registration fee: registration is free
for any institutions that have not entered the competition in the last 3 years.
For all other institutions the fee is £20 for the first team, £50 for the
second, third and fourth teams, and then £75 for each additional team after
that.
Hope to see you at on the 27th of November, if
not before then.
