From the Narrows, the main path follows the west side of the Mitchell
Freeway past Parliament house, then you have to battle 3 sets of traffic
lights (Hay, Murray and Wellington Streets) to get to the path alongside the
railway, then follow that west to Thomas/Loftus St, than follow the east
side of Loftus for a couple of blocks (more lights) till you cross the
Mitchell Freeway again, turn east for a short distance on the path, then a
180 to the right when you hit the main path and head west again under Loftus
St. From there, it is pretty plain sailing along the north and east side of
the freeway to Osborne Park.
From the Causeway, you could follow the path along Riverside Drive as far as
the underpass just before the Narrows, then duck through past the lakes and
under the north end of the Narrows, and pick up the preceding route.

I may be changing jobs soon and will have to cycle across the city. I'm
heading to Osborne Park and will be coming from the Causeway or Narrowsdepending on whether I want to do the extra kms for the nice view.
Which is the shortest way with least traffic lights?
Thanks Paul
