Attempted Bike Theft on Caltrain @ San Mateo

=v= A guy tried to grab a bike from Caltrain SB#142 this
morning. He got on the bike car without a bike (I forget
where -- Bayshore, South City, or San Bruno perhaps), then
tried to grab a bike on his way out at San Mateo. This
was at approx. 11:38 this morning.
=v= The perp fled when the bike's owner saw him. Last seen
in San Mateo. He's tall with straight, graying long hair,
wore sunglasses, light tannish clothes and he doesn't smell
good. He also had a red "Stanford" ribbon around his neck
(the kind that you put a conference ID in) and this year's
Bike To Work Day canvas totebag.
=v= I'm kicking myself because for some reason my Spidey
Sense was tingling when he got on the bike car. I should've
at least gotten my camera ready when he was offboarding.
At least we foiled the theft.
