Train No. 383 needs two bike cars
As far as I remember, Caltrain committed to have two bike cars on Caltrain No.
383. I frequently take this train with my bike at 6:46 p.m. in Menlo Park. For
several months after the announcement, this train indeed had two bike cars,
which I greatly appreciated. However, for the last couple months, it mostly
had only one.
But the only bike car available is extremely packed, and it is very
inconvenient for cyclists. And we've reached the point where cyclists are
getting bumped again, anyway.
Caltrain No. 383 is a busy train at this time of the day. Cyclists, as any
passenger, deserve room for travelling. We absolutely need two bike cars every
day, with no exception, on that particular train. Many cyclists rely on it,
every night. I'm asking Caltrain to respect its commitment.
