Odd yellow parrots  Philip A. Veerman

I don't know whether the incidence of unusually plumaged birds is increasing or we are noting it more. There was a message a week ago about an odd yellow parrot and I suggested lutino Rose-ringed Parrakeet Psittacula krameri. There is another possible contender that is kept in captivity in Canberra and that is the Sun Conure Aratinga solstitialis. Seeing one in Kaleen last weekend reminded me it was not the first or second I've encountered in recent years. They are a very pretty small parrot in bright yellow and some green and orange. So just another option to keep in mind.
