Myna disaster apparently averted

You may recall my plaintive plea for help some weeks ago: a local of
Common Mynas, or a statutory of Common Mynas, depending which collective
noun you prefer, had established a night-time roost at my Kambah home. I
was grateful to all who offered (legal) suggestions as to how to move
them on to some other person's garden.
I decided to apply what is becoming known globally as 'the Goldie
method'. Taking this approach I harassed them (the mynas) just after
dusk by shaking the trees in which they were roosting and beat them -
the roosting places - with a long rod. I was not able to do so every
evening but, after a fortnight of intermittent harassment, they have all
gone.
Now I'm hoping the Blackbirds will return, as I like them.
Many thanks to John Goldie for this advice.
