crane lake to grant portage solo

OK. I'm now about a month away from my solo trek from Crane to Grand Portage. I'm pretty up to speed on the route, but am wondering if anyone can provide any insights on any current conditions that would be useful? I was up in the Rose Lake area a week ago, so I'm up on that area (although I couldn't get anyone in our group to walk the long portage with me), but that's the only boundary area trip I've done this year.My excitement is turning a little into nerves, but I think it should be great.
