I would be happy to help also if there is something I can do. My CW is a
little rusty right now so maybe we could work each other for a little
practice?

Phil,
Are ther ever any activities that take place on Sunday afternoons.
I am interested in getting into QRP but work every Saturday. Sundays are
the only time I have to take part in my radio interests. I commute by bus
during the week so I don't get home from work until 7:30pm.
I am not very good at CW and want to get up to speed so that I can
actually
use it for communications (I passed the 5 wpm for my Extra class but have
not really used it).
If there was someone willing to get together on a Sunday afternoon to help
me get started, that would be appreciated.
I just purchased a used QRP+ rig, made by Index Labs. It works well on
ssb
but I have not yet got it wired for a key or paddle.
I also have a 40m transceiver QRP, which was built by built by a guy from
HRO. I haven't used it either. In addition, I have a 40m transmitter
which I bought used. it is switchable from low power up to 15w. It has a
vfo built into it and looks to be made quite well.
I have equipment to get me started - I just need a little experience on
how
to use it.
Any help you can provide to steer me to someone that would be willing to
get me in the right direction would be appreciated.
Thanks,
