Many of you already know of our Radio Scouting activities. And some of you have been very generous in donating gear to us for our use or for resale to raise funds.
I just wanted to remind everyone on the list that Radio Scouting is encouraging local hams to donate that piece of gear which might not take up a whole table at a hamfest, but could be leveraged by us into funds for our program activities.
The goal of Radio Scouting is to provide opportunities to Scouting youth in all programs (Cub Scouts, ages 7-10, Boy Scouts, ages 10-18, Varsity Scouts, ages 13-18, and Venturers, boys and girls aged 14-20) to experience the wonders and the public service radio can provide!
We'll pick up any item(s) you may want to donate, and can provide a receipt for your donation as well. All donations are handled through the Cascade Pacific Council, Boy Scouts of America, based in Portland, OR (www.cpcbsa.org), serving southwest Washington and northwest Oregon.
