My 'cover' is blown.
I have been dis'covered'
I am awaiting thousands of phone calls for interviews of my new book 'cover'
Will anyone else want to 'cover' my book 'cover'?
Talking about books.
Here is a sampling of some lines I love from Gonzo Marketing (I'm pimping
for you Chris and ain't ashamed of it)
The line that made me almost pee in my pants was (page 95)
- 'Ooo didn ash my pamishon, he protests.'
The most truth-unfolding funny line with a triple shot of Sadness that
didn't seem to go away even after two shots of vodka (page 150, last line)
- 'Things were simpler in the old days. All you had to do was
shoot all the buffalo and the Indians'
A Possible line for a would be 'The Doors' reunion concert with Ray Manzarek
vocals (page 147)
- 'When I hear the word "Solutions," I reach for my revolver'
The best line that points that Gonzo Marketing's view of micromarkets are
not markets at all (page 178)
- 'People in the microaudiences coalescing around
micromedia do not think of themselves as micromarkets.
They think of themselves as people'
And furthermore evidence that this cluetrain mailing list is not a
micromarket. (page 179, last line)
- 'they are groups you actually belong to,
that you interact with - not by punching buttons and entering your zip
code, but by exposing
something real about who you are'
The best 'bingo' or 'holy shit' or 'the matrix has you' line (page 50)
- 'The most successful branding campaign ever carried out
was the branding of brand itself '
The most probable explanation of why an average American meeting you at a
party for the first time will ask you 'So, what do you do?' and not ever
'So, who are you?' (page 50)
-'...identity is determined by what you have and can get instead of by who
you discover you are or may become'
In the end, I shall maybe attempt to answer the question 'What causes the
lack of participation?'
-- Well, there are no buffalo and Indians left around cause buch of
motherfuckers decided to just shoot them all -- I am standing here with my
revolver cause all I hear is 'solutions' every waking hour and I am ready to
fire at any one who asks for my permission to interact with them by punching
buttons by entering my zip code.
Yeah, that's about it. I think that's why there is a lack of participation,
at least on my part. Hmm, you?
