Friends,
As of now we have persons from seven different states registered to
attend Organizing for Peace 2004 in La Verne, CA from March 11-14, 2004!

You can learn more about this intergenerational peacemaking conference
by visiting the website: www.brethren.org/oepa/ofp2004.html. "Widening
The Circle: Peacemaking in the midst of diversity" will be a weekend of
actively exploring Christian peacemaking in our diverse world. Travel
scholarships are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, for
people who need assistance to attend the conference.
We'll have music by Shawn Kirchner and Steve Kinzie, worship times
designed by Barb Sayler, sessions facilitated by a variety of skilled
persons including Matt Guynn and Shady Hakim, and participants of all
ages and backgrounds attending the weekend.
Registrations will be accepted through March 5th (and we'll probably
take 'em up until the conference is over, although it might be harder to
get a good plane ticket from the east coast at the last minute!). You
can register on-line or call Kim Stuckey at 410-635-8706 for a paper
registration form.
Hope you can join us for this weekend of learning new skills, meeting
new people, and challenging ourselves to work more wholly at the task of
peacemaking!
