LIVING THE CREATIVE LIFE

For Creative People
and Those Who Want To
Live Their Lives Creatively

August 2008 ~ ~ ~ Quick Tip #1
Dear Subscribers,
A couple of months ago, I told you about how my busy schedule was
keeping me from finding the time to write a full-blown newsletter,
feature article and all. This situation has continued, as (fortunately!)
my business continues to thrive.
I do want to keep in touch with you and offer something useful on a more
regular basis. As a result, I am launching “Quick Tips.” These will be
short newsletters with some information that I hope will be valuable and
interesting for you, along with any updates on my classes and new offerings.
I am also open to suggestions. If you have any tips or resources that
you feel would be useful to your fellow Creative Lifers, I invite you to
submit them to me at sha-@goodlifecoaching.com.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the summer!
Creatively yours,
Sharon

QUICK TIP: TAKING BABY STEPS
Many people are discouraged from doing something they would love to do
because it feels too overwhelming. We tend to assume that we have to go
from A to Z in one big leap, or do it all *now*.
The truth is, we accomplish things by taking baby steps. By taking small
steps consistently, you can accomplish huge things over time.
I’m currently experiencing this myself. Last year, I completed the first
draft of a book. This year, I’m polishing the book and will publish it
within the next 6 months. And I’m doing this by devoting only 2 to 4
hours per week on a regular basis.
If there’s something you’ve been longing to do, see how you can break it
down into baby steps. Patiently continue taking those steps, and before
you know it, you will reach your goal!
A resource for those who are energy- or time-challenged is my work on
Being a Tortoise in a World of Hares. As a “Tortoise” myself, I’ve
developed many strategies for getting ahead at my own pace. For more
