You can always try top o' the mark. Awesome view of the bay and great
drinks. If not for dinner, then maybe a pre-date cocktail. They say that
the sailors and their lady friends would go there before the men set sail
for one last drink together. Then the men would leave and the women would
watch the ships as they set sail.

Hey Matt,

Can anyone recommend good restaurants or unique
stuff to do in SF Feb
14?

If you are up for something extravagant, you can try
Hornblower cruise around the bay:
http://www.hornblower.com/whatsnews/sanfrancisco.php.

I went on one of their Saturday brunch cruises a few months
ago, and found the food surprisingly good. The views of the
city are also stunning.

As for restaurants, if you like French, try Chistophe's near
Union Square http://christophe.citysearch.com/1.html, or (I
can't believe I am giving this away), Jeanne D'arc at 715
Bush St.   (415)421-3154 . Jeanne D'Arc has a $29 fixed
price menu filled with delicious choices of traditional
French dishes, and interesting medieval decor (tapestries,
statues of the namesake, etc). It is located in the
basement of Cornell Hotel and owned by nice French folks.

good luck!
