RE: Cooking Dinner for a Date?  ECar-@vanbourg.com

Go for it. In the past, I have cooked for a woman on the first date and it
was a lot of fun. It is a great way to get to know someone. But rather
than cook the meal before they get there, get all of your ingredients ready
plus a nice bottle of wine. When the date arrives, open the bottle of wine
and start the cooking process. You can either include them in the cooking
process and let them help out, or just let them sit and drink wine and taste
the food as you go along. Then when the meal is ready, you can move to the
dining room.

As for the menu, my suggestion would be for a light dinner with bread &
cheese and/or olive oil/vinegar for an appetizer; a nice fresh salad; and
spinach pasta in a light cream sauce with green peppers, red peppers, and
carrots for an entree. As for dessert, with spring in the air, some ice
cream with fresh berries would be a nice way to finish the meal off.

Hey folks,
Here is a question to think about. Is cooking dinner for a first date a
good idea? If so, what should you make? Something light, something
heavy? Help all those wannabe chefs out there!
