For a first date, I think not. Probably better to meet on neutral ground
and figure out if a second date is forthcoming. But, for a second date,
invite her over, have a nice bottle of wine ready (two if you don't know
whether she prefers white or red), and cook a nice risotto. Have the prep
work done in advance so you aren't chained to the kitchen, and have some
time to hang out together before dinner. Works like a charm.
