e Corcoran Gallery of Art will welcome NOW Ensemble, a dynamic young group =
of performers and composers dedicated to making new chamber music for the 2=
1st century. Fusing classical tradition with a blend of diverse musical in=
fluences, the ensemble=E2=80=99s unique instrumentation caught the attentio=
n of the Obama/Biden campaign in 2008 (=E2=80=9CFolk Music=E2=80=9D) and ha=
s garnered praise from critics including the New Yorker=E2=80=99s Alex Ross=
. The Ensemble has performed in Carnegie Hall, been members of world class=
orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, l'Orchestre Symphonique de M=
ontreal, and the American Composers Orchestra, and have appeared onstage an=
d on recordings with indie rockers like Sufjan Stevens, The National, and B=
