Jason, could you please look at this website and tell me if the L15 "tiger
pleco" is really a Peckoltia vittata or Candy Striped Pleco, L015
or not an L15 at all?
http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/loricari/peckolti/75_f.php
The bio there describes L015 as "Omnivorous with a tendency towards meaty
foods. Not an effective algae eater. Well fed individuals will not damage
most plants"
This makes me think it was mislabeled. Could you please double check the ID,
if it doesn't match the picture, then click on the word "Peckoltia" at top
right of page, that will get you thumbnails of all Peckoltia's to help ID.
I have an Panaque maccus, the clown pleco L104 which I bought at Albany
aquarium to cut down on algae, but it is basically worthless. Renee said it
was a great algae eater, but I now know it is a wood eater. I have a
variety of algae, and when I don't put zucchini, or algae wafers in it
doesn't eat at all. It hides day and night, never looking for algae.
I ask because ASAP has more of these available, we can order them through
our PCCA/ SVAS auction shopper Chuck or your favorite store, list Jim's new
Mainly Cichlids store. They are going as
Xingu tiger pleco-l15 Lg $16.25
Regardless of the ID , if these are algae grazers I'm interested in getting
some.

|
| | Since we're talking about 10 anubias plants or so, that pl*co is now
