Hi all,
It looks like Topica is soon to ramp up inline text advertisments within
posts. I'm sure more than a few of you have found the current level of
ads obtrusive.
Next week, I'd like to migrate the list over to Google Groups, which
offers discussion lists free of ads within email postings. The migration
will be fairly transparent, in that once it is complete, everyone will
be able to continue to post and read messages via email without further
action needed.
(Current Detritus subscribers will receive an email notification once
the migration is complete - within the body of that notice, a link that
will allow you to modify posting delivery options. Receive posts in
digest form, singly, or read them on the web via a clean interface.)
If you would prefer that I not auto-migrate you to the Google Groups
list, please let me know, and I will send you an invite instead, which
will require you to opt-in before sending and receiving posts to the
list.
If you have any strong feelings about the proposed migration, or
anything else surrounding this friendly little list, I'd be interested
to hear your thoughts. Thanks for reading. :-)
