Dear Friends on the List,
Below is an email I sent to someone I was working with to help get a
confirmed speed trace using a food dislike. All she could think of was
"raw black olives" and I explained how to proceed by acquiring the
olives and keeping them in sight to HOLD the doyles while tracing and
eating them later for confirmation. It worked. Read on . . . her
comments are in italics after the > sign.

Congratulations! You have just performed a confirmed speed trace!

The thought did cross my mind that when I was visiting my cousin's house his dad fixed pizza for us. It was the first time that I had ever had pizza and I thought the smell of it cooking was disgusting. Perhaps, it had black olives on it.

The key signal is "not getting the same reaction". Reactions are doyles
triggered by events inside or outside of you. You have permanently
removed (I like the verb "extirpate" because it means "pulling up by the
roots" which is the only permanent way of removing a tree.) a doyle by
converting it into a cognitive memory. The newly created memory was the
"thought which crossed your mind". It had just appeared in your mind
as a newly-formed cognitive memory when the doylic memory was converted
to it by your speed trace.
Your comments highlight the subtlety of the changes one can experience
when learning to do the speed trace. Everything was subtle except that
you can now, if you choose, eat black olives. That is direct
confirmation for you.
You are now ready to actually use the speed trace on the important
doyles you mentioned in your first letter to me. I will follow this
email with some suggestions for you in that regard.
most cordially
Bobby
