Hi All,
Sorry for taking so long to reply & thanks again for your help.
My thesis is in the area of E-Commerce Software Development
The first phase of my software project is to focus on integrating an
e-commerce website solution into an existing sporting community
website.
The Software section of my thesis will basically be a type of shopping
cart script using PHP, using MySQL as the DBMS and Apache as my http
server.
The technical write-up will consist of a discussion on the basics of
e-commerce, IT concepts, Security, Money, Law and a discussion on the
programming areas of e-commerce.
If you guys have any tips, i'd love to hear them.
Thanks again

I think there are far too many books on e-commerce and many
of those written more than a few years ago are probably out
of date. Six or seven years ago, the pundits said e-
commerce was going to revolutionise the way we do business.
Of course it did, but the revolution was much quieter and
more subtle than the pundits expected.
Why don't you tell us a bit more about your focus, then it
might be easier to recommend books.
There are some finished theses on
http://www.jpb.com/ethesis/theses.php which you can look at
to see how others have done their theses. Some of the links
may be out of date.
Good luck,

I'm currently working on the bones of my e-commerce &
e-commerce applications thesis. (60% research, 40%
software)
I've gathered much material but i was wondering what you
guys think are the defining books or documents on
e-commerce?? There's plenty of literature out there but i'd
like to see what the established experts have written so i
can refer to them and make up my own mind, and also to
narrow the list of literature down to the most relevant.
Also, i'm not getting alot of direction from my lecturers
about an e-commerce thesis and i was wondering about the
style of the finished document. For example, the layout,
the reference system, navigation etc that might be best for
my type of document. Would anyone have a good example of a
finished IT or E-commerce thesis? I feel like i'm being
thrown in the deep end a bit here.
And finally, are there many other e-commerce based lists
that are busy @ topica?
Thanks in advance for all your help guys, ye seem like a
nice bunch of people :)
Regards
CC
