I scared the would-be scooter thief off when I got up and turned on a
light inside the house. So, no apprehension was possible.

FYI - Near 12th and Gartland:
Someone attempted to steal my scooter from my backyard at 12:45am
tonight in the rain. I was awake at the time and heard the loud noise
outside my window as they pulled off the large tarp that was covering/
concealing the locked scooter. I turned on all the lights in the
house and called the non-emergency line and police arrived quickly
(didn't want to go outside until they arrived). Scooter has been moved
to a more secure place off-site.
ugh!
