Kim,
My one piece of advice would be to have realistic, modest goals about what
you want to get out of "bringing the business to the web." Think about
your
likely audience, how much you can make in incremental income vs. the costs
involved, whether you're ready to operate a mail order business
(infrastructure and legally), and how best to use the Internet to improve
your existing business. You should look as much toward using the Internet
as a business resource (for pricing, customer service, vendor
relationships,
etc.) rather than as a retail channel only...or maybe the retail channel
part won't make sense after due reflection. {Jonathan}

Subject: Advice and Opinions
Hi-I am looking for some general information and adivce. I am the owner
of a one store operation. I sell housewares. I am thinking about
bringing the business to the web, but am hesitant about making avoidable
mistakes. If you had one piece of advice to give about this, what would
it be?
I appreciate it!
Kim
