Mirabile dictu, the book is nearly done! All that remains is a massive
amount of editing to remove the non-sequiturs, gratuitous asides, bad
puns, arcane allusions, cheap shots, locker-room humor and obscene
language. The remaining six-page leaflet -- Gonzo Marketing: Winning
Through Worst Practices -- will be published by Perseus Books in
October.
Meanwhile, somebody at Microsoft seems to have loosened up a little. Or
at least provided a way to hack their support pages. Avail yourself

We would like to express our undying gratitude to the Fearless Ones --
you know who you are -- who donated *almost* enough to pay off EGR's
waycool new Iomega Predator CD-burner. Or all of what Laurie owed us for
those Swiss franks we gave her (none of your damn business, but she says
thanks for saving her from having to do that). 34 people, a whopping
0.68% of you predominantly worthless fucking hosers, gave an average of
$7.75 each -- several, obviously, much more than that -- by which
gesture of support we were deeply touched. However, averaged across the
entire readership, this amounts to only about a nickel a head. The rest
of you deadbeat parasites know who you are too. And so do we. Expect a
little visit from EGR's *extremely* good pals at the Internal Revenue
Service. You say you're not a US citizen? That's what you think. Look
for the press release next week. For now, let's just say that RB and GWB
have been spending a lot of time together on "the links" and our new
president has taken a keen interest in RageBoy's ideas on world
domination. You'll be sorry you passed up this chance to get in on the
