Hi Lynda,
Thanks for telling me about the Prozac I never associated it with my
legs but my doctor has been asking me for a while to start cutting
them down so I wonder if he knew but had never told me!! I will cut
them down slowly as you said and hopefully by next summer I,ll be off
them completely. Even if they dont help my rls at least I,ll be on
fewer tablets!! I feel like a junkie at the moment with my blood
pressure tabs, prozac and Requip and its costing me a fortune in
prescriptions. I only went on the prozac because of marriage probs
which have now been over for years so I really dont think I need them
at all.
Happy Xmas and hopefully a free RLS New Year.
Hilary. xx

Hi Hilary,
Being on it a long time was said to be a main factor when I was talking to
my son's Phsyciatric nurse, who was the person who told me.
The main reason I replied though was to give you the last piece of
information. Appararently you must cut in down slowly before cutting it out
because coming off to quick can cause bad side effects. Then it will take
many months to leave your system, so you won't feel an effect for a while. I
stopped taking them last Septemberish(2007). During the summer (July and
Augustish (2008) ) my legs didn't play up for a good few weeks.) I didn't
associate it with the pills though, as usual I thought it was because of
something I was eating, some vitimin or mineral that I usually didn't get
enough of. I went back on the pills in Sept.(2008), The RLS came back
quickly. I just thought my reprieve was over.
I really hope it works for you Lynda x
