Subject: [Board] Educational Awards appliations ...
AA all
Could everyone please encourage our youth to apply. What happened to the children
of those of you who were saying you had eligible ones when we were discussing the
issue a few weeks back? So far, I have received only three applications.
It is possible there is some misunderstanding about eligibility and/or chances of success.
Please let everyone know that:
- applicants don't have to be at the conference (they just need a rep there).
- no one has applied from Canada. Could someone give them a shout.
- we are not looking for "gifted" students only. Anyone in full time study program is
eligibily and quite likely to win, given the number of applicants so far.
- the essay requirement is simply to ensure the candidate is making a serious effort.
There is no required proficiency or minimum standard.
- as a reminder - the password for the form is taqwa2009 - this is needed just to
avoid spam (and auto-generated applications).
- please call and talk to every high school senior, college student and college graduate
you know straight away and encourage them to fill out the form. It is available at:
