I would like to ask you to complete a short questionnaire regarding the NBA
project. The following questionnaire aims at understanding more about
project work and its implementation in the EFL field in Israel.
It will take you no more than 10 minutes to complete, nevertheless will
provide valuable information for me as a researcher while helping us all
learn something further about projects as part of the high-stake Bagrut
exam.

Hello there.
I trust that most of you are recovering from your overhangs of purim.
Last week, i sent you all a file of pictures of my father on a surveying
team in Alaska in '49.
Nobody received it , even tho my 'SENT' folder swears that it went thru.
Maybe because, with 7 pictures, it reached the size of 2 mega. So now i'm
sending only one picture that Explorer assures me is only 147 KB.

This is from a tiny 2 inch square picture that i finally figured out how to
scan in .
I also figured out how to open the 'Microsoft Photo Editor" even tho it
does not appear as an icon on the bottom of my screen (on the Whoosit bar or
whatever it's called)
My questions to you are as follows:
1 How do I scan a picture so i can enlarge it? As soon as I enlarge this
to 125 it gets fuzzy.
On the other hand, I have color pictures in memory , scanned by other
people, that I can expand to 200 and not lose much resolution.
I want to get a picture that looks like a whole picture, not just a
little square mounted on a whole page backdrop of the scan panel.
2 I want to get the shortcut icon for the photo editor to appear with the
other icons 'down there'.
I go thru the explorer, and click left on the 'photo editor ' icon, then i
click right on it to get 'create shortcut key', and all i get is
yet another icon up there on the explorer.
Now when i try to get rid of this extra one, it sais, 'do you want to erase
the ph9oto editor?"
At this point i give up.
3 Finally, the mouse: I have this lazer mouse with a middle wheel thingie
that sometimes makes what's on the screen get larger or smaller. When I'm
in the photo editor, it changes the font size (or whatever you call the
number up there that starts off as 100%)
Sometimes it changes the size and then i'm suddenly stuck at 400 and have
to change it back manually; that is menually: by going up to the menu and
coding in the desired size.

By the way, Tues night we are having a Ukranian Purim party to help get
thhru the leftovers from last night.
Anyone want to come?

I am Mariana Loyola, a teacher of English who has previously contacted in
the preceding years in order to carry out a pen pals project. There are up
to now three groups of students of about 20 to 28 that would like to
exchange messages in English with your students. There could be 6 more
groups of around 28 to 30 students that would also take part if there are
enough pen pals to write to.
My students are around 13 to 18 years old, and all of them speak Spanish as
a mother tongue. They need to find peers to practice their English and to
have the chance to meet people and use their English for communication.
Our classes start from today, March 8th until July and we resume classes on
the second week of August up to November.
Please, let me know if you are interested, how many students would
participate from your school, and when can we expect mails from your
students.
