Description

Overview
We are seeking an exceptional senior-level user interface designer to
help concept and design innovative solutions for Brightcove=E2=80=99s next
generation products. Candidates must be able to think in terms of the
end-to-end user experience and create designs that are visually
appealing, easy to use, and emotionally engaging. This role requires
skills in visual design, information architecture, interaction design,
and a solid understanding of current rich internet application and web
technologies.
Responsibilities
=E2=80=A2 Lead new user interface designs through the full design and
development cycle (including concepts, information architecture,
visual design and interaction design)
=E2=80=A2 Work directly with product managers to define product requirement=
s
focusing on customer efficiency and ease-of-use
=E2=80=A2 Collaborate with other designers, engineers and product managers =
on
the product definition process
=E2=80=A2 Conduct user research and usability testing sessions
=E2=80=A2 Leverage rapid prototyping and frequent customer interaction to
inform design decisions
=E2=80=A2 Concept and design innovative end-user video experiences
Required Skills
=E2=80=A2 Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience designing interactiv=
e
media and user interfaces for product software and web applications
=E2=80=A2 User-centered design perspective and understanding of related des=
ign
methodologies
=E2=80=A2 Experience with user research and usability testing
=E2=80=A2 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
=E2=80=A2 Collaborative team skills and experience working with agile
development (scrum) a plus
=E2=80=A2 Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead a team and ment=
or
junior designers
=E2=80=A2 Strong visual design skills and obsessive attention to detail
=E2=80=A2 Solid understanding of rich internet application technologies
=E2=80=A2 Ability to rapidly prototype and evaluate designs with customers

This position is based in our corporate headquarters in Cambridge,
