Job Description
CIDC is seeking to hire a passionate Interaction Designer to create
winning and meaningful interactive experiences for our players
globally. The candidate will participate in scenario modeling,
concepts, annotated wireframes, interactive models, persona
development and functional prototypes alongside the Interactive
Experience Manager
Required Skills
Bring strong creative, conceptual and problem-solving skills to
translate conceptual ideas (business needs and user goals) into
interaction and design solutions.
Assess data from multiple sources (product requirements, tech
constraints, UX research, web analytics=E2=80=A6) and synthesize it in orde=
r
to develop efficient user scenarios, taxonomies, classification
schemes, navigation systems, design patterns, etc.
Create and effectively present UX deliverables (wireframes, workflows,
prototypes, etc.) to explain and negotiate design solutions to key
stakeholders.
Develop competitive assessments and perform site heuristic reviews.
Help define, request and incorporate relevant and recent UX research
and data from customer feedback to appropriately inform design
decisions.
Help define UX performance metrics (error rate, abandon rate, average
number of clicks, perceived easiness, etc.) for every project to track
its success.
Upholding UX guiding principles and style in project execution.
Create, maintain and share project documentation and UX guidelines
after project execution.
Disseminate best practices across the UX organization.
Work collaboratively with Software/Web Developers to define
frameworks, themes, and navigation
Collaborate with team members to enhance and leverage the existing
content management and technology infrastructure to increase
efficiency and enhance the user experience
Additional skills required for this position include:
Proven track record delivering high quality work while hitting
commitments and timeframes based on product and business requirements.
Ability to successfully execute on, and load balance across, multiple
projects and tasks simultaneously.
Collaborative approach that brings good resolution decisions to tough
design questions and issues.
Strategic thinking while executing with great attention to detail.
Thorough understanding of overall web site design, including basic
usability, industry standards, web analytics and brand.
Proficient to expert in some of these tools: Working knowledge of
Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks, Visio, Microsoft Visio, Intuitec,
Axure, Morae, UserView, Clickdensity, Tapefailure, Photoshop,
Fireworks., style guides and Microsoft Office tools (i.e. Excel, Word,
PowerPoint). Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, and Flash.
Knowledge of cross-platform browser compatibility restrictions and requirem=
ents.
Experience with web 2.0, design patterns, rich internet applications
and delivery methodologies.
Must have significant experience evaluating web-based applications and
sites for usability
Experience in defining user and business requirements, use case
scenarios, flow diagrams, wireframe specifications and interface
designs
Strong leadership and influence skills required to establish the
IA/Usability competency and drive use of IA concepts and principles on
projects.
Required Experience
Experience Requirements:
3+ years interaction design / information architecture experience
3+ years online design experience
1+ years user centered design research methods experience, and
1+ years conducting usability assessments and user interviews
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in library and information science or human-computer
interaction, human-computer interface design, Computer Science or
engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field or
equivalent
