|List Name||Genocide_Studies (Genocide_Studies)|
|Purpose:||Genocide_Studies is the mailing list of a community of concerned scholars, students, and activists. The list promotes wide-ranging discussion of genocide and related themes. Some of the subjects to be addressed are: historical, current, and potential cases of genocide and other crimes against humanity; debates over causation and definition; issues of human rights and dignity; and events, scholarship, and other relevant resources.
Genocide_Studies is lightly moderated. Only posts that are racist or obscene, personally abusive, seek to promote holocaust denial, or are commercial in character will be rejected outright, or forwarded to the editorial board for a verdict.
Genocide_Studies includes an activist element. We welcome calls to action, genocide alerts, news of genocide-related initiatives, and so on. We encourage critical and cutting-edge thought and commentary, and are not afraid of polemics, within the boundaries noted above.
To subscribe to Genocide_Studies, follow the link given below, or send an e-mail directly to <email@example.com>. Subscribers will also receive a regular "Media File" containing links to and summaries of recent news stories, features, and human-rights reports pertaining to genocide and crimes against humanity.
If you have any questions or comments about the list, please contact the list moderator, Adam Jones, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
