** Apologies for cross-posting **
All,
As list-manager, one of my functions is to clear a 'bounce list'.
Addresses on this 'bounce list' are no longer receiving messages because
they are unreachable due to a hard or soft bounce.
Hard bounces usually mean that the address is permanently unreachable
(i.e. "User Unknown").
Soft bounces usually mean that the address is temporarily unreachable
(i.e. "Mailbox Full").
When a message to a subscriber's email address 'bounces,' the account is
disabled and it appears on my bounce-list until I manually reactivate
it.
So, tips for users:
1) If you change addresses, please unsubscribe by sending a message
from the old account to (list name)-unsub-@topica.com. (if
possible).
2) If you have had a very full in-box and suddenly stop getting
messages from GNLIB-L, TAGAD-L or GNIE-L, please email me at
gnl-@alltel.net (yes, that works for all three lists), asking me to
reset your account.
Thanks for your help, and thanks for helping make these resources the
online treasure they are!!
