God at Eventide -- October 9 - Overcome Desire
The listening ear --
Train the listening ear to hear Me.
The first step is to subdue earth's desires and to want only My Will.
Desire as a control must be overcome.
Then follows the turning within to speak with Me.
Then the listening ear.
Comments: I'm often confused whether my desires are in line with God's
Will for me. I spend years working on something, including lots of
prayer. I spend time withthe Lord, gaining strength to continue the
effort. He gives me stregth to endure problems. But I still wonder, is
this what he wants me to work on, or is this my own agenda?
