Reading 10.12 God at Eventide, Eyes of the Spirit
You have much to learn. Life will not be long enough to learn all, but
you are gaining that Spirit-Vision which replaces the eyes of your mortal
body when you enter into a life of fuller comprehension with My Father
and Me.
Comment: Our Lord Jesus Christ restored many of physical blindness during
His time on earth. But of greater concern to Him are the Spiritually
blind. The Apostle Paul wrote of the spiritual blindness when he said in
2 Corinthians 4:3-4 "If the Good News we preach is veiled from anyone, it
is a sign that they are perishing. 4 Satan, the god of this evil world,
has blinded the minds of those who don't believe, so they are unable to
see the glorious light of the Good News that is shining upon them. They
don't understand the message we preach about the glory of Christ, who is
the exact likeness of God." (NIV)
In the verses above, Paul gives us a glimpse into the future to give us
hope that one day we will be complete when we see God face to face. This
truth should strengthen our faith. We don't have all the answers now, but
one day we will. Someday we will see Christ in person and be able to see
with the eyes of the Spirit; from God's perspective. - BR
