Reading 10.19 God at Eventide, A Royal Giver
You tell Me that your hearts are full of gratitude.
I do not want from you gratitude as much as the joy of friendship.
Realize that I love to give.
As the Scriptures say, "It is your Father's good pleasure to give you the
Kingdom." I love to give. The Divine nature is the Nature of a Royal
giver.
Have you ever thought of My Delight when you are ready to receive? When
you long to hear My Words and to receive My Blessings?
Comment: Acts 20:34 And I have been a constant example of how you can
help the poor by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord
Jesus: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (NIV)
Jesus "offers" us everything. Everything we have has been given to us
through Jesus. Therefore, we obviously can not give until we have first
"accepted" Jesus' offer. We can't love without first receiving His love.
There is no way to be a channel of God's love without first drinking it
in, without allowing God to touch and fill us, without opening our hearts
to receive the Spirit's perfect healing and Love. Only after accepting
from the "Royal Giver" can we give in return. - BR
