Subject: New Grandparent Law in Nevada
Jane Horner helped pass a New Grandparent Law in Nevada. This law that
takeseffect Oct. 1 2001 provides for the reimbursement by the State of
legal expenses incurred by grandparents to get custody. This bill also
provides that grandparents with custody may e eligible to receive the
same rate of compensation and services as foster parents. This is a
great win for Grands Raising Grands in Nevada.
